On this episode of Investor Connect, Hall welcomes Philip Webb, Managing Director at Investors In Community Limited (IIC). Phil started his career working for IBM UK as a hardware specialist. He established a hardware/services business in 1990, growing to over £6.7M and selling on in 1996. Since set up, he has merged and sold 5 SME businesses in the areas of software development, training, and business consultancy. In 1996, Phil was elected Chamber President, and in the same year, represented SME businesses in the CBI Regional Council. Phil has published three business books, leading to university lecturing about rapid change management, and is the legal custodian of the research from the Stanford University of the SWOT Analysis. Phil discusses how he sees the industry evolving and its growth rate, some of the challenges in starting a business in this space, and he explains community credits.
